'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Is Charlie Sheen winning or losing? There’s no doubt about it – Charlie Sheen is one determined guy. Since his hit CBS show “Two and a Half Men” has been canceled for the remainder of the season, Charlie’s gone low-budget. He’s doing “Sheen’s Korner” using a webcam. I’ve got to say though, Charlie’s TV production skills are pretty bad, and the reviews for "Korner" haven't been much better. Aside from the initial questions about why Charlie didn’t spell corner with a "c" – and really, what does the "k" add? – here's what I want to know: Is this really the best idea for Charlie? I think “Sheen’s Korner” is a complete mess. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Is Sheen done in Hollywood for good? There is explosive Charlie Sheen outrage today after his bizarre and rambling rants on radio’s “The Alex Jones Show” and a scathing open letter to the creator of his show, “Two and a Half Men”! Charlie actually calls Executive Producer Chuck Lorre a “contaminated little maggot,” and that is just a small taste of his explosive media meltdown! It’s easy to see why CBS has decided to cancel production of “Two and a Half Men” for the rest of the season! I am scared for Charlie. It sounds like he has completely lost his marbles. I hope someone can reach him at this point to help him and I hope it is not too late. But what do you think? Post your thoughts below. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Is Arquette's confession a sign of recovery?David Arquette just sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an explosive interview in which he made a stunning rehab confession. Arquette revealed how his wife, Courteney Cox (whom he’s currently separated from) staged an intervention that ultimately led to David checking into rehab for alcohol and other issues. I admire David for speaking so openly about his addiction problems and sharing how important an intervention was. I say, good for his family and friends for taking that difficult step! What do you think? Post your comment below. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Billy Ray's regrets - too little, too late?Miley Cyrus’s dad now says he regrets letting Miley do “Hannah Montana," but is this admission a case of too little, too late? I say, it’s definitely not too late! Yes, Miley’s 18 and can make her own decisions, but Billy Ray will never stop being a father no matter how old Miley gets. Billy Ray seems to be trying to regain some of the control he feels he has lost over Miley, who’s been doing some pretty wild things recently. What do you think? Too little, too late for Billy Ray? Post your thoughts below. Other big stories on the show today… Liam Neeson opens up about Natasha Richardson’s death, and Christina Applegate talks about having a baby after breast cancer. Plus, Janet Jackson’s weight confessions on HLN! See you on "Showbiz Tonight" live at 5 p.m. ET and again at 11 p.m. ET/PT on HLN today! 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Did Lady Gaga copy Madonna?Lady Gaga can’t seem to distance herself from all the speculation that her new single “Born This Way” sounds suspiciously similar to Madonna’s “Express Yourself." People are calling Gaga a copycat and questioning the originality of the song. I think Gaga is gifted, and I believe she is an amalgamation of a number of different styles and artists. I do think she is heavily influenced by Madonna, and Gaga has said she admires her tremendously. I do detect a little Madonna in “Born This Way,” but then I also see and hear Michael Jackson in Usher’s and Justin Timberlake’s music. It doesn’t make any of them less talented! Remember, imitation can be the sincerest form of flattery. But what do you think? Did Lady Gaga copy Madonna? Post your thoughts below. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: 'Idol's' wacky contestantsFirst, let me say that I love, love, love “American Idol”! I think Steven Tyler and J.Lo are great on the show. But that said, I most enjoy seeing the TALENTED competitors. The wackiness on “Idol” is getting a little out of control! Those who are obviously just put in front of the judges for shock value make me uncomfortable, especially if it seems some of those contestants are, well, a few fries short of a Happy Meal, so to speak. When it seems contestants are being taken advantage of and made fun of just for entertainment, I don’t like it. What do you think? It’s our "Showbiz" Flashpoint: Love ‘em or lose ‘em when it comes to “Idol’s" wacky contestants? |
