'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Will Kate always be compared to Diana? We’ve got a big "Showbiz Tonight" special event today: An unbelievable inside look at the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and we're curious if Kate will always be compared to Princess Diana. I know there's no doubt that William's late mother, who was known as "The People's Princess," left some huge shoes for Kate to fill. And from the moment Kate and William became engaged, people have been - fairly or unfairly - comparing Kate to Princess Diana. I think over time those comparisons will stop. Kate is her own independent person. And she's ten years older than Diana was when she took her fairytale walk down the aisle in her 1981 wedding to Prince Charles. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Has 'Idol' saved J.Lo, or has J.Lo saved 'Idol'?Did you hear that People magazine has named Jennifer Lopez the World's Most Beautiful Woman?! Not bad for someone who, just last year, had a floundering music and movie career and was barely a blip on the celebrity radar. These days, Jennifer Lopez is at the top of her game thanks to her gig as a sensitive, emotional judge on “American Idol.” But let’s face it – J.Lo isn’t the only one benefiting from it! “American Idol’s” having a great season after last year’s mess – ratings are strong since “Jenny from the Block” got on board. I think J.Lo is a GREAT addition to the judges panel. She really cares, and it shows! Also, Lopez has never looked better and she is having one heck of a year. Congratulations to her! 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Do you feel bad for Jenn Sterger? In our "Showbiz Tonight" meeting today, we couldn't stop talking about the new bombshell confessions from Jenn Sterger. She's the television host who was allegedly on the receiving end of Brett Favre’s suggestive voicemails and X-rated texts. Just this morning in a tearful interview on “Good Morning America,” Sterger said she wants people to know she's not a gold-digger or a homewrecker. After hearing Sterger’s side, do you have sympathy for her? 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Did Charlie Sheen’s wild behavior ruin a porn star’s life?HLN’S own Dr. Drew joins us today to talk about his blockbuster, headline-making interview with Capri Anderson, the porn star who was with Charlie Sheen during his New York City hotel rampage. I could not take my eyes off of this interview. Did Charlie ruin this woman’s life forever? Should Prince William and Kate Middleton sign a prenup? There are reports today that there won’t be a prenuptial agreement. What do you think? Should they have one before they get married? Post your thoughts in the comments below. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Hilton vs. KardashianOh snap! Paris Hilton’s mom reportedly said Kim Kardashian should thank Paris for her success. I think Kim and Paris are both tremendous celebrities. People know their names all over the world. They have both built multi-million dollar media empires and major brands. CNN received the following statement from Kathy Hilton’s rep, on her behalf: "We've known Kim since she and Paris were young girls playing together. We are proud of all that Paris has achieved, and we're pleased that Kim has also become very successful." Paris definitely paved the way for Kim in the world of reality TV. And while Kim currently seems to be everywhere, I wouldn’t say one is a bigger star than the other. 'Showbiz Tonight' Flashpoint: Were the 'Teen Mom' brawlers paid to fight? There are shocking claims today about that ugly fight involving a star of MTV’s “Teen Mom 2.” Were those young women really paid for that brutal, caught-on-tape beatdown? I am so disturbed by this whole thing, and feel MTV should fire the girl who assaulted her former friend! Post your thoughts below. And check this out… Katie Holmes reveals to Ellen DeGeneres today why her daughter was photographed with X-rated candy! Trust me, it's an explanation that many parents can probably relate to. |
