I'm really shyBlake Lively’s “Gossip Girl” alter-ego Serena Van der Woodsen is the type of girl who eagerly baits the paparazzi, but Lively herself is far from the type who desires that kind of attention. So when you see the 23-year-old actress on the September cover of Interview magazine wearing the look of a handcuffed femme fatale, don’t assume she’s as bold as that image. “I'm actually a very shy person,” Lively told interviewer Ben Affleck in the magazine’s cover story. “That's a big secret, so don't tell.”

Julia Roberts: Can't we just eat and love?While Julia Roberts is out promoting her new film “Eat, Pray, Love,” she’d rather not talk about the “Pray” parts of her own life. According to JustJared.com, the actress said Wednesday that she doesn’t like to discuss her religious beliefs in public. “I’ve realized something my mother told me 22 years ago,” she told the audience gathered at an "Eat, Pray, Love" press conference in Tokyo, Japan. “You’re an actor, act. Don’t talk about politics or religion.”

Betty White to write books on celebrity, zoo animalsBetty White may be 88-years-old, but the Emmy-Award winning actress and pop-culture icon is still at the top of her game. The star plans to write two books for G.P. Putnam’s Sons, one about life lessons and another about the animals at the Los Angeles Zoo, where she sits on the board. “Betty White is a national treasure,” said Ivan Held, president of the publishing group, according to Penguin’s website. “Her wide-ranging appeal and irrepressible humor transcends generations, readers and cultures. She truly is one of a kind.” |
