Chris Brown under investigation over alleged fightAuthorities are investigating allegations that Chris Brown punched an unnamed victim in an altercation in West Hollywood, California, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells CNN. According to a statement, deputies responded to a call of six men fighting on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. The brawl, which witnesses said was over a parking space, reportedly took place Sunday night at a recording studio.

Josh Brolin arrested on New Year's DayJosh Brolin's list of New Year's resolutions might include avoiding any more arrests. The 44-year-old actor was picked up by Santa Monica, California, police just before midnight on January 1 and booked on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication around 3 a.m. the next day, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Frank Ocean cited for marijuana possessionFrank Ocean ended 2012 with a run-in with the law. On New Year's Eve, the singer was pulled over for speeding and ended up busted for alleged marijuana possession. The “channel ORANGE” singer was driving along Highway 395 in Mono County, California, when the California Highway Patrol spotted his black BMW speeding at around 4:30 in the afternoon, according to the Mono County Sheriff's Department. The officer noted a strong odor of marijuana when approaching the car, and discovered that Ocean was carrying a small bag of pot. The R&B star was cited for possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and was released on the spot. The incident has been passed on to the Mono County District Attorney’s Office for further review. Reps for Ocean tell CNN that they have no comment about the incident.

Disorderly conduct charges against Sam Worthington dismissedA recent night out in Atlanta ended in charges of disorderly conduct for "Avatar" star Sam Worthington, but the charges have since been dropped. According to the Atlanta Police Department, the 36-year-old actor was approaching local restaurant The Vortex when he allegedly got into an altercation with the security guard.

'Idol' producers speak on Carey, Minaj disputeAfter all of the accusations that have emerged from last week's spat between "American Idol" judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, one might think that the producers would be less optimistic about their new panel. But in a statement, the production team for the Fox singing competition is unfailingly optimistic, calling their lineup - which also includes Keith Urban, and longtime judge Randy Jackson - "one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we've ever had." |
