Dee Snider 'not going to take' Paul Ryan playing his song

Both K'Naan and the Silversun Pickups have asked the Mitt Romney campaign to refrain from playing their music, and now it seems Twisted Sister's Dee Snider is asking the same of Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan.

According to Talking Points Memo, Ryan apparently played the Twisted Sister track "We're Not Gonna Take It" at a Pennsylvania rally this week, and Snider ... well, he couldn't take it.

Jay Leno jokes about 'Tonight Show' layoffs

Perhaps Jay Leno was hoping a few jokes would soften the blow of "The Tonight Show's" recent layoffs, as he opened his monologue on Monday with a few wisecracks about the pink slips that were handed out on Friday.

"Welcome to 'The Tonight Show' - or as Comcast calls us, 'The Expendables!'" he quipped. "As you may have heard, our parent company has downsized 'The Tonight Show.' We've consistently been No. 1 in the ratings, and if you know anything about our network, that kind of thing is frowned upon..."

Lamb of God cancels tour

Members of metal band Lamb of God announced Thursday that they're canceling their upcoming tour "due to the continued incarceration" of the group's singer, Randy Blythe, in the Czech Republic.

According to MTV, 41-year-old Blythe was arrested in Prague on June 27 in connection with the death of a fan at one of the band's 2010 shows there. When the band returned to the Czech Republic on tour, Blythe was arrested at the airport in Prague, MTV reports.

Frank Ocean's 'Channel Orange' hits No. 1 in 10 countries

Frank Ocean is riding a wave of success at the moment. Not only has his new album, "Channel Orange," received plenty of praise, but it's also hit No. 1 on iTunes in 10 countries.

After Ocean's anticipated album was released early in digital form at midnight on Tuesday, it went on to take the top spot on iTunes in the U.S.; Canada; Denmark; Greece; Ireland; Norway; Sweden; the U.K.; Australia; and New Zealand.

Ray J hospitalized for exhaustion, jet lag

According to his rep, Ray J needs some down time.

The 31-year-old recording artist was in Vegas over the weekend for a product launch party as well as Sunday's Billboard Music Awards, and found himself in the hospital early on Monday suffering from exhaustion, his spokesperson tells CNN.

He's still in the hospital, "and will remain there for treatment for exhaustion and jet lag," his rep adds.

Against Me!'s Tom Gabel speaks on being transgender

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Against Me! singer Tom Gabel speaks out on being transgender, and shares her plans to transition from a man to a woman.

The punk rocker has been privately struggling with gender dysphoria, and will soon start taking hormones and receiving electrolysis treatments, Rolling Stone reports.

Gabel is the highest profile musician to ever come out as transgender, although not the first overall, as MTV notes, and she tells Rolling Stone that's precisely the reason she's publicly sharing her story.
