Weighing in at 7 lbs and 13 ounces, their new daughter, Violet Marlowe Followill, was born in Nashville on Wednesday, a rep for the drummer confirmed to CNN. Followill and Baylin, who were married in November 2009, first announced that they were expecting in June. This is just one of many recent, personal milestones for Kings of Leon: Jared Followill wed Martha Patterson in September; Caleb Followill and Lily Aldridge welcomed their daughter, Dixie Pearl, in June; and in May 2011, Matthew Followill and Johanna Bennett welcomed their son, Knox Cameron Patrick. Jessica Simpson is expectingJessica Simpson knows a picture is worth a thousand words. The singer and fashion designer announced her first pregnancy in October 2011 when she tweeted a photo of herself dressed as a mummy – get it?! Now, a mere six months after welcoming her daughter with Eric Johnson, Simpson has posted another telling image. This time the photo isn’t of her belly, but her little bundle of joy, Maxwell Drew. Dressed in a festive red and white striped onesie, Maxwell appears alongside the words “Big sis,” which are written in the sand. Simpson’s rep confirmed to CNN that the new mom is, in fact, expecting. Anne Hathaway on getting used to her short 'doFor someone who was so nervous to chop off her long locks, Anne Hathaway is really owning her shorter ‘do. The actress, who cut her hair to play Fantine in Tom Hooper’s “Les Misérables,” told CNN that she just needed time to adjust. In fact, she said it took her about 30 minutes before she deemed herself brave enough to look in a mirror after her haircut. Anthony Hopkins 'insecure' about playing HitchcockEven when you're a legend yourself, the thought of playing one for the screen is still frightening. Such was the case for Anthony Hopkins, who transforms into Alfred Hitchcock for this month's "Hitchcock," which is based on the book "Alfred Hitchcock and the making of 'Psycho'" and directed by Sacha Gervasi. "[Hitchcock] was an amazing personality and a great genius, and for me it was daunting taking on such a loved figure," Hopkins told press Sunday. "Such a notorious man as well because he had a wicked sense of humor and he was a complicated man." PETA swipes at 'Twilight' for partying with wolvesWe don't blame the "Twilight" party planners for wanting to get wild, considering that Monday marked the franchise's last film premiere in Los Angeles, but they lost us by bringing in a few four-legged attendees. Apparently, the franchise's Monday night after-party at L.A. Live had an ambiance that included three wolves, which hung out in a cage near the entrance to entrance guests upon their arrival. |
