The 'Celebrity Apprentice' winner is....

Spoiler alert: Today’s blog entry reveals the winner of this season’s “Celebrity Apprentice.”

This is the first “Celebrity Apprentice” finale that made me cry, laugh and scream. No, I am not usually a spaz.

The show began with Donald Trump ending all questions about Bret Michaels. He announced Michaels would appear live in the boardroom, and even though we waited an hour and a half, it was worth it.

Trump introduced Holly Robinson Peete first, and she entered wearing a sparkly, silver, cleavage-showing, halter dress. Women, never wear that in a boardroom.

'Celebrity Apprentice': Down to the final two

With three firings in the first hour, this week’s episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” took me through a fantastic range of emotions.

It began with laughter. The five contestants - Holly Robinson Peete, Curtis Stone, Sharon Osbourne, Maria Kanellis and Bret Michaels - were celebrating their survival in the game.

The phone rang. Donald Trump announced he would fire someone immediately. Their “save me” speeches followed. FULL POST

'Celebrity Apprentice:' Forget honesty in the boardroom

I knew it was going to be a long night when none of the remaining celebrities wanted to be project manager of this week’s challenge. They were told to decorate an apartment in celebrity style, especially one room. One of the judges would be designer Jonathan Adler.

I immediately hoped none would be inspired by Donald Trump’s gaudy New York apartment, the location of this week’s opening scene.

Since Sharon Osbourne and Maria Kanellis said they couldn’t stand the sight of Curtis Stone last week, Trump made sure they worked together as RockSolid. Osbourne served as their project manager. FULL POST

'Celebrity Apprentice' dedicates show to Bret Michaels

It’s only fitting that Bret Michaels’ team won this week’s challenge to produce three radio commercials for a home-services company. The “Celebrity Apprentice” episode was taped awhile ago, but you can’t watch the show without wishing him well as he recovers from his brain hemorrhage. This is the second week NBC aired a “get well” announcement at the end of the show. This week, the network announced the show was dedicated to him.

In this week’s episode, Michaels was RockSolid’s project manager, and his teammates Sharon Osbourne and Maria Kanellis tried to tell him that the stiff, humorless, corporate executives wouldn’t like the jingle that said plumbers “crack” a lot of jokes. He insisted he would accept the blame if the team lost for it. It was a risk, but the team won for its overall originality. I like how this team works collaboratively. You also know when they get into the boardroom, they will accept blame for whatever goes wrong.

At first I thought Curtis Stone should’ve been the one fired because he really didn’t do anything this challenge. He proved he couldn’t sing or write a jingle, but he is a chef. They told him they were going to tweak a few lines, so he still probably thinks he did a good job.

But an incident involving Cyndi Lauper changed my mind. Tenacity’s project manager Summer Sanders couldn’t decide whether to use Cyndi Lauper’s voice on a jingle, after Lauper told her she had recovered from her laryngitis. I wanted Summer Sanders fired immediately. No need for boardroom drama. In the end, she decided Lauper should sing on the jingle, but why does a swimmer have to wonder if she can trust the voice of a professional singer?

Donald Trump played games in the boardroom. First, he asked Sanders to determine which person was the best on the team. Holly haters, she chose your girl. Yes, Holly Robinson Peete is safe another week.
When Sanders returned to the firing squad with Lauper and Stone in tow, he announced that he would not fire Lauper either. The executives had loved hearing Lauper sing on that one jingle.

Trump threatened to fire two people at the beginning of the show, so I hoped he would make good on that with Sanders and Stone. No such luck. Only Sanders left this week.

Who do you think will be eliminated next week? Post your comments.

'Celebrity Apprentice' recap: Money can save your job

From the first minute, this week’s “Celebrity Apprentice” teams created a lighter atmosphere and a fun (sometimes sex-charged) energy that made the two hours more bearable to watch. I’m grateful.

Sharon Osbourne, Bret Michaels and Maria Kanellis became the new RockSolid. Curtis Stone, Summer Sanders, Cyndi Lauper and Holly Robinson Peete formed Tenacity. Lauper spent some time away from the team again, but who cared since she worked with Lady Gaga, who later became a donor.

The teams created and taught a workout class in a 24 Fitness Center. Since the challenge was a fundraiser, the donors had to either show up for the classes or the team had to have a body in their place. The best and most original one would also win an extra $24,000. FULL POST

'Celebrity Apprentice' tackles tough guy

Former wrestler Bill Goldberg got his butt kicked on “Celebrity Apprentice” when he stepped up as project manager. He shouldn’t have been in the ring in the first place.

The challenge was to craft image makeovers for young rising country singers Luke Bryan and Emily West. Trace Adkins, a former “Celebrity Apprentice” runner up, made a special appearance to help the teams.

Donald Trump asked Goldberg if he thought Bret Michaels should be the men’s leader since music is Michaels’ arena of expertise. Goldberg insisted it should be him. There are only three men left on RockSolid, and he’s the only one who hasn’t been project manager. However, he delegated 95 percent of the task to Michaels. FULL POST
