  • After breaking up with his wife last spring, Jason Aldean is now engaged to Brittany Kerr, the "American Idol" alum he was caught getting awfully comfortable with while still married in 2012. [CMT]
  • We get the feeling that sooner rather than later, all of The CW's vampire shows will star only Nina Dobrev, playing multiple characters. In the meantime, the "Vampire Diaries" actress will take her talents to "The Originals" for a crossover role in episode five of the upcoming season. [E!]

Angelina Jolie's next directing job, and more news to note

  • Angelina Jolie, a.k.a. the new Mrs. Brad Pitt, has already lined up another directing job. "Africa," which will be written by Eric Roth, is about ivory poachers who posed a threat to the existence of African elephants. [Variety]
  • Tea Leoni and David Duchovny aren't together anymore, but there's no love lost between them. Leoni says in a new interview that she doesn't know how she could "ever hate David. ... We've always loved each other, and we adore (our two) kids." [Parade]
