Taylor Swift donates 6,000 books to libraryWill Taylor Swift’s reign of preciousness never end? The bubbly blonde superstar has graciously donated 6,000 books to a library in Reading, Pennsylvania, the town's paper The Reading Eagle reports. The Grammy-winning singer hails from Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, and chose nearby Reading for her donation because she wants to aid economically troubled libraries. The 6,000 children’s and young adult titles were chosen by local librarians. Publisher Scholastic Inc. helped Taylor make the hefty book donation.

Jon Gosselin gets a job?Jon Gosselin may not be on the best terms with ex-wife Kate, but he's friendly when it comes to the environment. According to a report in Life & Style magazine, the 33-year-old former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star has put his spotlight-seeking days behind him and taken a real job at Global Green Property Services in Pennsylvania, which aims to make properties more environmentally correct. "He's doing sales marketing, which means he goes out to companies or cold-calls them and tries to get them to use Global Green," an insider tells the magazine. "It's a modest job — he doesn't get a huge salary."

'Kate Plus 8' gets solid ratingsKatie G.’s still got it. The mom of eight had stiff competition on Sunday, between the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Celtics game, the Stanley Cup finals and the MTV Movie Awards, (and, um, the premiere of “The Next Food Network Star”; I couldn’t have been the only one with that scheduling conflict) but TLC’s back-to-back “Kate Plus 8” specials weren’t hurting for viewers. While EW’s Ken Tucker thinks the two hours of Gosselin family fun could have just as aptly been titled, “The Horror, The Horror,” 3.4 million tuned in for the first 60 minutes, featuring the sextuplets' sixth birthday, while 3 million were watching for the second hour-long special, “Inside Kate’s World," according to EW. The next "Kate Plus 8" special will air July 11.

What kind of job does Jon have? Don't ask Kate
“I feel like I say this a lot, and for whatever reason, I feel like I have to defend myself,” Gosselin told Leno. “The truth is, moms work - single moms work. I travel and work and that's my job, and I’m very grateful and fortunate to have a job. When work comes my way I only do it so I can literally put food on the table and send my kids to school.” But what about her ex-husband, Jon? What does he do for a living? Gosselin’s response: a confused look followed by “Ummm…I don’t know.”

Jon Gosselin and TLC end dispute testing captions The war between Jon Gosselin and his former TV employer has drawn to a close. According to a statement released by Laurie Goldberg, senior vice president for communications for TLC, "TLC has reached a settlement with Jon Gosselin and will be undertaking procedural steps to conclude the litigation. All terms of the settlement are confidential. The whole Gosselin family remain under contract with TLC. " Such a settlement could clear the way for the return of the clan from “Jon & Kate Plus 8” to the airwaves. The show was yanked after Gosselin put the network on notice to cease and desist filming, claiming it was detrimental to his children. TLC responded with a breach of contract suit against him.

The newly divorced mom of eight told talk-show host Jay Leno on Friday night that she would be interested shake her groove thing as a contestant on ABC's hit dance competition show, "Dancing With The Stars." Kate Gosselin told Leno via satellite, “Yes, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ because I cannot dance. I want to laugh at myself. I so cannot dance.
