Snooki and JWOWW are just like Laverne and Shirley, producer saysDespite sporting hair poofs and animal print in place of pixie cuts and monogrammed sweaters, Snooki and JWOWW are the modern-day Laverne and Shirley, producer SallyAnn Salsano said. Salsano, the creator of MTV's “Jersey Shore” and “Snooki & JWOWW,” which premiered on Thursday, told CNN Snooki and JWOWW are a lot like Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams' characters on the '70s sitcom.

'Jersey Shore's' Deena had quite the weekendA busy weekend landed one member of the "Jersey Shore" house in handcuffs and another reportedly on crutches over the weekend. CNN's confirmed that "Shore" star Deena Cortese was arrested Sunday on a disorderly conduct charge, according to the Seaside Heights, New Jersey, Police Department.

The Situation: I'm not the same person I was beforeA newly sober Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino says he doesn’t worry about any of the party-filled temptations that will come with returning to the “Jersey Shore” when he heads back for a sixth season. The reality show star sought treatment for a prescription drug problem in the spring, and he's told MTV that he's mentally in a different place now that he’s kicked his prescription pill habit, and that the old vices won’t have a hold over him. "Mike today? I wake every day these days with a smile," The Situation said. "Happy to be alive. Happy to have the family that I have. Happy to have the fans that I have, the friends. Happy to be involved in the show ... almost like a smell-the-roses moment. ... I know where I am and I know where I'm gonna be and that's all that counts."

It'll be a boy for Snooki and JionniWhen Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi delivers her first child this fall, she and fiance Jionni LaValle will be the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. The reality star revealed the news in the new issue of In Touch Weekly, the cover for which she donned a blue dress, perhaps for the occasion. The couple, who confirmed they're expecting in March, already have two names under consideration: Jionni Jr. and Lorenzo. |
