A new frontrunner on 'The Voice'

If Pat Benatar, David Bowie and the remaining members of Queen watched NBC's “The Voice” last night, then I'm sure they had BIG smiles on their faces.

For me, those were two of the best covers of two of their best songs.

It all started with the four coaches performing the 1981 song “Under Pressure” by Queen and David Bowie. What a perfect way to start the finals show. The long and high notes were Christina's while Blake and Adam had their solo moments showing off their strengths as well. And Cee Lo brought the soul to it, naturally.

An underdog steps up on 'The Voice'

This week’s “The Voice” kicked off with cheers and heartbreak.

Two singers from Team Cee Lo and Team Adam were saved and two were let go right off the bat! Vicci Martinez and Nakia were saved on Team Cee Lo while Javier Colon and Casey Weston were the last ones standing from Team Adam.

And then the show really began. First up was the amazing Frenchie Davis, and she nailed her performance once again! She did a rendition of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” hitting the right notes at the right time and even holding at least two notes longer than anyone has on that stage. It was electrifying and the coaches agreed.

Christina Aguilera: Neither of us were 'angels'

Christina  Aguilera addresses the rumors about whether she and/or her now ex-husband strayed during the marriage – sort of.

“At one time or another, we were both not angels," the singer told W. " It got to a point where my life at home was reminding me of my own childhood.  I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home...”

"The Voice" coach has a spread in the new issue of  W where she she says she has never watched an entire episode of the show's major competitor "American Idol" because "it's too mean." FULL POST

'The Voice' turns into an all girls club

NBC's "The Voice" was about two things last night: Girl power and standout vocals. (I know what you're thinking: How can the vocals get any stronger than last week's singers Beverly McClellan and Frenchie Davis?)

Round two of the quarterfinals and the second live show saw two team members get eliminated from both Team Christina (Aguilera) and Team Blake (Shelton), plus performances from all the members on Team Adam (Levine) and Team Cee Lo (Green).

The show began with something I'm sure everyone liked: Carson Daly NOT waiting until the end of the two-hour show to give us the results of who would move on to the next round from Team Blake and Team Christina.

Christina Aguilera: 'I'm human, too'

Christina Aguilera has had a bumpy past several months: She split up from her husband Jordan Bratman, has gone down in recent history as the singer who notably flubbed the National Anthem, took a fall while performing at the Grammys and was arrested for public intoxication.

But through it all, she says she’s keeping a sense of humor.

"In light of the past year, there have been obvious setbacks," Aguilera, who divorced Bratman last year, tells Us Weekly. "I've gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish."
