Aerosmith heats up summer with 'Global Warming' tourThere are pros and cons to holding a press conference in the middle of an outdoor shopping mall, especially in Los Angeles. True, the weather will probably be nice, and pretty people will be walking around for a built-in audience straight out of Central Casting. But on the downside, your event is in danger of being upstaged by the random celebrity who happened to be shopping at the mall with his family. Just before Aerosmith made a grand entrance at Wednesday's presser to announce details of their summer tour, CNN stumbled across Paul Stanley from KISS...in a hut with the Easter Bunny.

Steven Tyler's national anthem performance draws criticsThe national anthem has become one of the trickiest performances for even an experienced pro to belt out, as proved by Steven Tyler's latest effort. The Aerosmith frontman tackled "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Sunday's AFC Championship football game, but not everyone was impressed.

Food poisoning behind Steven Tyler's fallWacky “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler has taken a tumble while on tour in Paraguay. Tyler’s manager tells CNN that food poisoning is to blame for the fall. The Aerosmith frontman fell in his hotel bathroom on Tuesday, suffering facial injuries, reports People magazine. The publication adds that 63-year-old Tyler lost two teeth in the accident and wound up with cuts on his face. The rocker's manager confirmed to CNN that Tyler “suffered minor injuries as a result of food poisoning."

Steven Tyler wants Depp to play him in a movieHe's played a pirate, a candymaker, a mad hatter and a boy with scissorhands, but could Johnny Depp play a rock star? We may find out, if Steven Tyler gets his way. The Aerosmith frontman tells Billboard he would want the actor to play him in a movie based on his new autobiography, "Does The Noise in My Head Bother You?: A Rock 'n' Roll Memoir." Though a biopic isn't in the works just yet, Billboard wondered which star could best capture Tyler's charisma.

Steven Tyler borrows daughter Liv's clothesIf "American Idol" judge Steven Tyler's ensembles look like they'd be better suited for daughter Liv, there's good reason. The Aerosmith frontman is wearing her clothes! "His blouses! My dad wears girls' clothes — it's so funny," Liv tells Vulture. "Sometimes I see him and I'm like, 'Nice shirt!' — because it's from my closet."

Aerosmith music sales explode post 'Idol'Despite some hits Steven Tyler took from others when he announced he would be a judge on “American Idol” (we are looking at you Kid Rock) it looks like the decision is paying off. According to The Hollywood Reporter, sales of Aerosmith music have skyrocketed since Tyler took his seat at the judges table. Based on data from Nielsen SoundScan, Aerosmith’s 1994 compilation album “Big Ones” increased in sales by 260% after the “Idol’s” premiere. |
