iReporters share exclusive Jackson images

When iReporter Robin Randol exited the "Captain EO" attraction at Disneyland, she saw a man wearing a fur-lined coat and a top hat. The pop icon starred in the film.

Her dad insisted it was Michael Jackson.

"No one was around him but my dad insisted it was Michael Jackson," Randol said. "I remember not believing it was him as it seemed too
coincidental to run into him just after watching the show."

She said her father walked past Jackson, who wasn't surrounded by security at the time, and snapped this photograph. Randol said that when her father took the picture, "Michael said 'hi' in his famous soft voice."

"It was a moment I will never forget," Randol said.

Vendors sell Jackson mementos

michael jackson vendor

Outside of the Staples Center, it resembles more of a mall than a funeral as sellers hawk different things in memorializing Michael Jackson.

Vendors are selling t-shirts with the late singer’s face, buttons that say “rest in peace,” flowers, and black arm bands as a nod to Jackson’s trademark wrist band.

Since only ticket holders are only allowed near the Staples Center, where the memorial will be held, sellers are forced outside the perimeter where funeral goers are waiting.

Memorable event before memorial

Shelley Brookshire and Dee Taylor

For Shelley Brookshire and her daughter, Dee Taylor, the last 48 hours have been memorable. They left their home in Long Beach, Calif., at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday – their golden wristbands secure on their hands.

Taylor recalled the precise time she’d learned she’d won the Michael Jackson tickets in the lottery – 10:05 a.m. Sunday.

And by 6:30 Tuesday morning, they were outside the Staples Center, on Pico Street, awaiting the start of the memorial service.
