Lauren Conrad is engagedToo bad "The Hills" are so far in the past - we would've loved to see the MTV reality show tackle a wedding episode. That reality series' former star, Lauren Conrad, is now engaged to her boyfriend, William Tell.

Lauren Conrad gets a new book dealLauren Conrad has the write stuff. The former star of MTV's "The Hills" told Us Magazine that she has scored a three-book deal with HarperCollins following the success of her debut teen novel. Conrad's first book, "L.A. Candy," scored a number one spot on the New York Times Best Sellers list. She said her trilogy, titled "The Fame Game," will feature Madison Parker, a character from her first novel.

Lauren Conrad series 'too high brow' for MTVLauren Conrad's new reality series has headed for the hills. The program won't air on MTV because, Conrad says, the network felt the show was just "too high brow" for its viewers. The documentary-style series was to follow Conrad as she launched her own line of evening wear, but the project remains on the shelf.
