Jennifer Aniston: I don't understand 'The Bachelor'She may not have the most successful track record when it comes to men, but you won't see Jennifer Aniston turning to "The Bachelor" to find love. "I was mesmerized by these girls, they meet this guy, they have three dates together or something, and they're weeping as though they've just lost the love of their life," Aniston tells February's Allure of the dating series. "I don't understand that." ABC isn't the only network that has the actress scratching her head. She also believes NBC hasn't had programs that are Must See TV since "Friends" went off the air. Chelsea Handler on Angelina Jolie: I'm not a fanComedian Chelsea Handler has a few more choice words for Angelina Jolie. After calling the mother of six a "home wrecker" during a recent stand-up gig in Newark, NJ, then defending her remarks by saying, "I've been making fun of Angelina Jolie since she made out with her brother," Handler – who is good friends with Jennifer Aniston – is throwing even more jabs at Brad Pitt's current partner. "Yeah, I’m not a fan," she tells Katie Couric in an interview for Glamour magazine. "She just doesn’t come off to me as a sincere woman. She seems like a woman that you’d really want to avoid." Jennifer Aniston voted world's most eligible single womanWhere does getting dumped by everyone from Brad Pitt to John Mayer get you? If you're Jennifer Aniston, it's straight to the top of the "60 Minutes"/Vanity Fair world's most eligible single woman list, baby! The 41-year-old actress - who has been linked to the likes of Vince Vaughn, Brit model Paul Sculfor and Gerard Butler since her 2005 split from ex-husband Pitt - was named the most eligible single woman by respondents to "60 Minutes"/Vanity Fair's poll. In fact, Us Weekly reports that Aniston nabbed 29 percent of the votes, leaving hotshot competitors like Betty White (11 percent) and Elena Kagan (4 percent) eating her dust. Not surprisingly, the former "Friends" star has said she doesn't mind being a solo act, so the public should save their pity. "This whole 'Poor lonely Jen' thing, this idea that I'm so unlucky in love?" she's told Vogue in the past. "I actually feel I've been unbelievably lucky in love... I'm right where I'm supposed to be." What'd you think of Aniston on 'Cougar Town' last night? It was like 1995 all over again last night, except Monica Geller and Rachel Green were going by different names, seemed to have lost a few of their "Friends" and were over on ABC instead. Yes, as was previously reported, last night was Aniston’s guest role on Cox’s comedy “Cougar Town,” in which she played a sage-bearing therapist. While some critics seemed pleased that she still had comedic timing on the small-screen, THR reports that the ratings weren't exactly astounding, with 8.3 million tuning in, a drop from last year's season opener that pulled in 11.4 million. Yet the night wasn’t all bad for ABC, because right before “Cougar Town” aired the network had a ratings win with “Modern Family.” The series garnered 12.6 million viewers, setting a record for the series. But among the new shows, J.J. Abrams’ “Undercovers” didn’t overwhelm last night with 8.5 million watching and a low rating in the key demographic of 18-49, while CBS' "The Defenders" opened strong with 12.1 million viewers. Did you catch any of these shows? What's your verdict? Jennifer Aniston headed to 'Cougar Town'Jennifer Aniston could probably use a reunion with a good “Friend” right about now. Amidst plenty of questioning on whether or not the actress, 41, has lost her box office touch comes news that she'll join former on-screen (and real-life) buddy Courteney Cox in the “Cougar Town” premiere on Wednesday, September 22 at 9:30 p.m. This marks the second time the two have teamed up since “Friends” came to an end in 2004; Aniston previously joined Cox on the short-lived series “Dirt” in 2007. Jennifer Aniston's box office bluesDespite complimentary reviews, Jennifer Aniston’s newest flick, “The Switch,” only earned about $8 million at the box office. The film’s shoddy opening weekend led several media outlets to pose questions like, “Jennifer Aniston: Exactly why is she a movie star?” and “Why don’t Jennifer Aniston’s friends help her more at the box office?” Even ESPN got in on the action when columnist Bill Simmons dissected each of Aniston’s past flops, proposing that the only reason the former “Friend” is still making movies is because of her love triangle with Brangelina. |
