TBS cancels 'Lopez Tonight'

"Lopez Tonight" has brought us weed brownie confessions and controversial knocks about Kirstie Alley, but no longer. TBS (which is owned by the same parent company as CNN) has confirmed that the late night show is getting axed from the line-up.

“TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of 'Lopez Tonight,'" the network said in a statement. "Thursday will be the final episode of the show. We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer. TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air."

In November of 2010, "Lopez Tonight" was pushed back to midnight to accommodate Conan O'Brien's "Conan," a move Lopez was pleased with. FULL POST

Celebs sincerely moved by CNN Heroes

There's a famous saying attributed to comedian George Burns : "The secret of acting is sincerity.  If you can fake that, you've got it made."

It's a Hollywood truism, but I really think the stars who turned out for the CNN Heroes show were sincerely moved by the people they honored.  Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Pierce Brosnan, Neil Patrick Harris, Dwayne Johnson and George Lopez were among the celebs who introduced the 10 finalists for "CNN Hero of the Year", each of the nominees an "everyday person doing the extraordinary."
