Nearly three months after the passing of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minneilli continues to be inspired by her lifelong friend.

"Elizabeth had so much energy, and she was always doing something for somebody," the singer tells the Daily Mail. In fact, Minnelli says, Taylor founded amfAR in 1985 after discovering that their mutual friend, actor Rock Hudson, was suffering from AIDS.

You may not be able to afford Elizabeth Taylor's recently listed $8.6 million Bel Air home, but you can take a tour of the late legend's estate, thanks to the July issue of Architectural Digest.

Photographed this spring, the four-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot house was purchased by Taylor in the 1980s and decorated by her close friend Waldo Fernandez.

The walls, many awash in blues and lavenders to reflect her violet eyes, featured such artwork as Impressionist paintings, an Andy Warhol silkscreen of the actress and costume sketches from her 1968 film "Doctor Faustus."

Colin Farrell may have seemed like an unlikely guest at Elizabeth Taylor's funeral last week, but the Irish actor and the Hollywood icon were actually good pals.

"How did we become friends? You know, the old story of boy meets girl, and boy pesters girl with too many phone calls at inappropriate hours of the night," Farrell joked to "Access Hollywood." "I was just lucky enough to become her friend in the last year and a half. I adore her … still."

Taylor was also a big fan of Farrell. In an interview published in the March issue of Harper's Bazaar, the movie legend dished about today's crop of leading men. "I love Johnny Depp, and I love Colin Farrell — both brilliant, nuanced actors with great range," she said.
