Anne Hathaway attached to Mindy Kaling movieAnne Hathaway and Mindy Kaling working on the same project? That's like a gift from the romantic comedy gods - or so we hope it will be. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kaling's co-written a film called "The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie" which, while it sounds rather depressing, is a comedic take on how a woman's poor sense of self-worth has meant a dating life filled with no-good guys. But that all starts to change once "the hottest guy ever" starts wooing her. Hathaway is attached to star in the rom-com, and Kaling would possibly have a supporting role. The "Mindy Project" actress is also one of the executive producers on the project, as is her co-screenwriter, "The Office" producer Brent Forrester. "The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie" is still in development, and has yet to find a director.

'Dark Knight Rises' director: Hathaway 'nails' Catwoman portrayalThe character of Catwoman has been brought to life by a number of actresses, but for this month's "The Dark Knight Rises," director Christopher Nolan found the perfect person to fill Selina Kyle's catsuit in Anne Hathaway. Nolan told CNN that the character "is the most alive presence in the movie in the beginning," and she also helps draw Bruce Wayne (Batman) out of his shell. "She's a breath of fresh air...and Anne Hathaway just nails the character, delightfully."

Anne Hathaway engaged to longtime beauAnne Hathaway is getting hitched: CNN confirms that the actress is engaged to boyfriend Adam Shulman. Hathaway, 29, and Shulman, 30, have been dating since 2008, People reports. Hathaway's rep tells CNN that actor/jewelry designer Shulman popped the question with a ring he designed in collaboration with Kwiat Heritage Jewels. Hathaway, who was reportedly spotted wearing her new sparkler in a park on Sunday, has previously gushed about her romance with Shulman.

Anne Hathaway in talks for 'Les Miserables' filmShe's played Jane Austen, the White Queen, and she'll soon hit the big screen as Catwoman, but can Anne Hathaway tackle one of the most iconic musical characters of all time? The Oscar-nominated actress is in talks to play Fantine in the upcoming musical film adaptation of the "Les Miserables," Broadway World reported. Based on Victor Hugo's French novel, the original musical, which opened on Broadway in 1987, went on to win eight Tony Awards. Joining Hathaway in the film, to be directed by "The King's Speech's" Tom Hooper, is Hugh Jackman as protagonist Jean Valjean.

Anne Hathaway doubts she'd host Oscars againAnne Hathaway has shown her range on film, starring in everything from Disney movies to smaller dramas, but when it comes to the Oscars the actress thinks she just doesn't have the skills. Hathaway told CNN Monday that she doesn’t see herself hosting the Academy Awards again after her much-criticized appearance with James Franco at this year’s ceremony. “Not that it wasn’t fun, I had a great time and it was an honor and it was lovely," the 28-year-old star said. "But, it’s something that…requires a skill set...I mean, I think the first time I didn’t put any pressure on myself to knock it out of the park with, you know, my hosting skills because how would I have any? I’ve never hosted anything.” |
