'Idol' Top 4 will go Gaga

Awww, look at J-Lo bidding Mantasia a warm farewell.

Now that Jacob Lusk is out of the competition, "American Idol" is evenly matched when it comes to the sexes.

We are now down to two females and two males, and all four have strong fan bases. And tonight, they get mentored by one of the biggest artists in the world.

Tonight's elimination was not a shocker at all. I predicted it earlier, and judging by last night's comments on this blog, lots of you did, too.

8:57 p.m. –  Jacob leaves us tonight by singing some Luther Vandross.

As he sings "A House Is Not a Home," I am reminded of how much I loved him in the beginning.

'Idol' Top 5 will lose one tonight

Jacob.

There, I've said it. I think Jacob Lusk is going home tonight on "American Idol." Not that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed Jacob's voice. He's an amazing singer.

But I feel like he's turned off more than a few voters with some of his comments, and his Wednesday night performance of "No Air" was nothing to write home about.

We have got a competition people!

Just about everyone brought it tonight. Even Seacrest said we had a hot night.

We are only three weeks away from the finale, and this thing just gets tighter and tighter every week.

Top 5 battle to stay on 'Idol'

9:22 p.m. –  I love "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals.

Haley starts singing it a capella, and she sings her little heart out. That felt like a big ole "In your face judges!"

And sure enough, the judges give her a standing ovation. She so deserved it, and she looks stunned when Randy tells her the award for the performance of the night goes to her. FULL POST
