'American Horror Story' renewed, and more news to note

Today's talk you might've missed:

  • "American Horror Story" is off to a scary good start. Ten million viewers tuned in to last Wednesday's season 4 premiere, and FX has already picked up the anthology series for a fifth season. [USA Today]
  • "Gotham," too, is having a good renewal week. The freshman Fox series has been picked up for an addition six episodes, bringing its first season total to 22. [EW]
  • Kat Dennings has been swept off her feet by Josh Groban. The couple recently started dating and are said to be having "lots of fun." [Us Weekly]
  • We hope Katie Holmes hasn't tossed her '60s outfits. The actress has been tapped to reprise her role of Jackie O. in a follow-up to 2011's "The Kennedys" miniseries. [Deadline]
  • One of the stars of "Duck Dynasty" is about to head down the aisle. John Luke Robertson, 19, asked for his girlfriend's hand in marriage over the weekend, and is now preparing for a wedding. [ABC News]
