Kaley Cuoco talks marriage, 'Big Bang Theory' season 8

Don't mistake Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting holding up production on "The Big Bang Theory" as a desire to be off the show.

To the contrary, the 28-year-old actress tells Women's Health magazine in its September issue that she'd be just fine playing a "girl-next-door" like "BBT's" Penny for as long as possible. (At least, as long as she's getting good pay - or so it would seem.)

"You know, not all of us are chameleons that can do every different thing," the actress said. "I hope I'm going to be typecast. I will play the girl next door for the rest of my life if I have to. I always kind of feel like I have that in my pocket when I go in a room. Like, 'Fine, I'm going to go back to this amazing job that's shredding and love it.'"

She's right that "The Big Bang Theory" is "shredding," in the sense that the long-running CBS sitcom is smashing its competition. It's been the No. 1 comedy among viewers since the 2010-2011 season, and is such a priority that studio Warner Bros. TV reportedly agreed to pay the show's three lead stars - Cuoco, Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons - $1 million an episode after the cast declined to come to work during contract negotiations. (Warner Bros. TV shares a parent company with CNN.)

The holdup temporarily delayed production on season 8, but Cuoco, Parsons and Galecki are said to now be back at work. Cuoco, for one, is thinking of weddings.

"I have no idea what they're going to do with 'Big Bang' this season," the actress said. "I'm hoping next season will involve a lot of wedding stuff, I think that would be really fun. If I had to guess, Leonard is probably more of the planner than Penny, which would be very funny. ... Everyone's growing up a little bit."

Perhaps one of the reasons that Cuoco is hoping for a juicy wedding plot is because she's found some marriage bliss of her own. The actress married tennis player Ryan Sweeting on New Year's Eve in 2013, and, approaching their one-year anniversary, they're thinking kids.

"I can't wait, he can't wait," she said. "I feel like I'm meant to be a mom."
