Terry Crews has landed a rich new gig.
The actor is the new host of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?," the former job of TV personalities Regis Philbin and Meredith Vieira.
"It's OFFICIAL!!!! I'm making people RICH!!!!!" the 45-year-old actor enthused on Facebook.
As Deadline first reported, Crews will start his new gig with the 13th season this fall. He's following another comedic actor, Cedric the Entertainer, who hosted the most recent season.
“Terry is engaging, endearing, smart, and quick on his feet — the perfect combination to lead one of the longest-running franchises in game show history,” Janice Marinelli, the President of Disney-ABC Domestic TV, told Deadline of the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star.
In a statement to CNN, Crews shared that he's "beyond thrilled" to join the syndicated game show.
"‘Millionaire’ is such a beloved franchise and I can’t wait to get started as the new host," Crews said. "In addition to my film projects ... ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and now being a first-time author, hosting has always been a dream of mine, and I couldn’t have asked for a greater opportunity.”
