'Veep,' 'Silicon Valley' renewed, and more news to note

Today's talk you might've missed:

  • This news is a relief if you're a fan of HBO's "Veep," "Silicon Valley" or laughter being the best medicine. Those two comedies have been renewed for a fourth and second season, respectively.
  • Julia Roberts spoke out for the first time since the February death of her half sister, Nancy Motes. The Oscar winner said coping with the loss is "hour by hour some days, but you just keep looking ahead. You don't want anything bad to happen to anyone, but there are so many tragic, painful, inexplicable things in the world." [WSJ.]
  • Danny Rad - that would be Daniel Radcliffe, obvs - is building a strong theater career. The former "Harry Potter" actor's turn in "Cripple of Inishmaan" on Broadway is getting major applause. [LAT]
  • In the new issue of Vogue, Emma Stone is giving an A-plus lesson on how to deal with haters: Take their words and then use them to make yourself look awesome in a Vogue cover story. [Vogue]
  • If you're pals with Melissa Rycroft, stock up on blue baby gear. The former "Bachelor" star has welcomed her second child, a boy, with husband Tye Strickland. [People]
  • Meanwhile, "Hangover's" Justin Bartha and his wife Lia are now parents of a baby girl. [Us Weekly]
  • Blue Ivy's Easter was probably better than yours (but we bet we didn't have to tell you that): [Beyonce's Tumblr]
  • Do you adore the adorable KeKe Palmer? You'll soon be able to catch her on BET with regularity; the actress has signed on to host a daily talk show targeting millennials. [Deadline]
