What Jon Hamm looked like in the '90s, and more news to note

Today's talk you might've missed:

  • Somewhere, a woman named Mary is kicking herself for passing up Jon Hamm on the '90s dating show "The Big Date." (For the record, we would've gone with Hamm's proposal of "an evening of total fabulosity.") [YouTube]

  • Today in Super Smart Business Decisions, Lancome has tapped Lupita Nyong'o to be the new face of the brand as its "ambasadress." [LAT]
  • If you're one of the few still watching "Glee," it's time to start campaigning for the show or at least hosting viewing parties. Not only is it the lowest-rated show already picked up for another season, but its current fifth season is being cut by two episodes. [THR]
  • We imagine that if MTV had given Carson Daly free rein to create a new "Jesus Christ Superstar" on "TRL," it would look a lot like this: NYSNC's J.C. Chasez, Incubus' Brandon Boyd and Destiny Child's Michelle Williams are taking part in the upcoming national tour of the musical. [Time]
  • Get ready for "Game of Thrones" crossover in "The Hunger Games": Gwendoline Christie - known as Brienne of Tarth on the HBO series - will replace Lily Rabe as Commander Lyme in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2." [Deadline]
