New 'Odd Couple' finds its FelixMeet pop culture's newest Felix Unger. Thomas Lennon, the producer/director/writer/actor you know from "Reno 911!" and most recently NBC's canceled "Sean Saves the World," has been cast as the uptight, neurotic roommate in Matthew Perry's remake of "The Odd Couple."
Originally a stage production that was then turned into a 1968 movie and a '70s comedy series, "The Odd Couple's" long featured a pair of male roommates who are complete opposites. Former "Friends" star Perry is planning to bring the comedy concept into the 21st century, although there aren't any details on how the familiar storyline will be adapted. Perry, who's co-written the pilot and will co-produce, has cast himself as Felix's laid-back and unkempt roommate Oscar Madison. The remake already has a pilot order at CBS. |
