Bethenny Frankel's out of a talk show, and more news to note

Today's talk you might've missed:

  • Bethenny Frankel's daytime talk show is no more. The former reality star's program "Bethenny" has been canceled after one season. [Deadline]
  • Nicki Minaj is joining the recent parade of celebrities who need to air their regrets. The rapper came under fire after she used a photo of Malcolm X as artwork for a new song called "Lookin' A** N****," and she's since pulled the art and offered an apology for its use. [EW]
  • We haven't said "Beetlejuice" three times fast, but it looks like we don't have to! Michael Keaton says he and Tim Burton are still trying to crank out a sequel. [MTV]
  • OK, so NBC pulled its "Murder, She Wrote" reboot out from under Octavia Spencer. But the Oscar winner lands on her feet: she's lined up another pilot over at Fox, a soapy dramedy called "Red Band Society." [THR]

Joel McHale's hosting the White House Correspondents' Dinner

Joel McHale is just the kind of "sharp, funny" comedian that the White House Correspondents Association is looking for.

The organization has tapped the "Community" actor and host of "The Soup" to provide the entertainment at its annual dinner in May. McHale, meanwhile, is already assuring D.C. that he'll keep his jokes bipartisan.

"My material will be equally offensive to all & over within 30 min – just like a Congressional work year," he quipped on Twitter.
