'Grace of Monaco' to open Cannes, and more news to note

Today's talk you might've missed:

  • Scrap those plans to see Nicole Kidman's Grace Kelly biopic, "Grace of Monaco," unless you know you're going to be at Cannes. The Weinstein Company has pulled the film from its release calendar - it was supposed to be released domestically on March 14 - but the Cannes Film Festival has added it to its premiere schedule. • Madonna's going to be our Grammys "Ray of Light!" She's been confirmed as another performer for Sunday's ceremony.
  • But before you tune in to the Grammy Awards at 8 p.m. ET - and join us on CNN.com on our live blog, which is a must - you can watch Jay Leno rehash for the billionth time what went down with the Late Night Wars of 2009 on "60 Minutes." [CBS]
  • When we say that Sheryl Sandberg's "Lean In" is going to become a movie, we already know what you're thinking. How in the world are they going to turn an advice book into a film? Well, if it worked for "He's Just Not That Into You" .... [Deadline]
  • Dean McDermott's entry into rehab doesn't surprise his ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace. "I wish Dean only the best in his struggle to overcome the demons he's been wrestling with for many years," Eustace said in a statement that says everything. [People]

Kim Kardashian shares wedding details: It'll be Paris

Kim Kardashian's recent trip to Paris with Kanye West wasn't a wedding planning trip - but that doesn't mean the couple isn't thinking about their nuptials.

They were photographed touring the Palace of Versailles, and word soon spread that they were considering the landmark as their future wedding locale. But in fact, "we were just taking a tour," Kardashian told Jimmy Kimmel on his show Thursday. "We will be getting married, hopefully, this summer in Paris. We love it there. It's like our second home, we spend so much time there."

Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey sign up for more 'Grey's'

Sandra Oh's exit hasn't prompted the rest of the "Grey's Anatomy" cast to jump ship.

According to reports, stars Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey have signed new two-year contracts, giving a new lease on life for their "Grey's" characters.

Oh, who's played Dr. Cristina Yang since the soapy medical drama launched on ABC in 2005, announced in August that she's ready to move on. Creator Shonda Rhimes is preparing to write Oh's character out of the series with its 10th season finale coming up this spring.

Although "Grey's" hasn't officially been renewed for an 11th season, having Pompeo and Dempsey pledge to stick around makes it a clear candidate for return. And the news gets even better for "Grey's" fans: Deadline reports that excluding Oh, no other original stars are anxious to try new things.
