Fans of singer Ke$ha have stuck by the 26-year-old as she undergoes treatment for an eating disorder.
The pop star entered a 30-day program at the beginning of January, and since then has been off the radar. But she asked a friend to send up a flare via her official Twitter account to assure her fans that she's receiving their messages, and that she's doing OK.
"I'm overwhelmed to tears by all of the love, letters, and support!!" Ke$ha said in the tweeted message. "I'll be back soon and better than ever."
Her friend acknowledged that the "Timber" star couldn't actually tweet for herself, as she doesn't have actually have access to the site. ""I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days," Ke$ha told her fans in early January, "seeking treatment for my eating disorder to learn to love myself again exactly as I am."
Ke$ha's mother, Pebe Sebert, has alleged that her daughter's struggles with weight are the result of criticism from her industry colleagues, including producer Dr. Luke.
"Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff. She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough. And that's when she first became bulimic," Sebert told People magazine. "After she went on a 14-day juice cleanse, he said, 'Thank God you finally got rid of the weight! We've all been talking about it!' So she felt like she couldn't trust anyone."
Dr. Luke has denied Sebert's accusations, telling People in a statement through his rep that he gives "Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health."
As all of that is happening outside of the treatment center, Ke$ha's friend says that the singer is recovering well inside of its walls.
"Hey guys this is K's friend again," said an update on Ke$ha's Twitter feed on Wednesday. "She's doing well and needs more of your teeth to make art with at the treatment center. She misses you :)"
