Lindsay Lohan travels to Sundance to announce new movie

Lindsay Lohan is nothing if not persistent.

The embattled actress re-emerged from a bumpy 2013 at the Sundance Film Festival on Monday to announce her newest project: a psychological thriller that she'll both produce and star in, according to The Wrap.

The movie, (somwhat hilariously) called "Inconceivable," will be made for $5 million and released in New York and Los Angeles before it heads to video on demand and DVD. While the plot was kept quiet, the project is expected to start production in March.

That's around the same time that Lohan's post-rehab reality show will air on Oprah Winfrey's OWN. Although Winfrey's admitted that working with Lohan on the eight-episode docu-series has been challenging, the show is moving forward as planned and will premiere on March 9.

The series is reportedly still filming, as it chronicles Lohan's road to recovery and attempts to rehabilitate her career.

It isn't clear whether "Inconceivable" will help her along that journey, but she will have more control over how it shapes up: The Wrap reports that as a producer on the project, Lohan, 27, will be involved in selecting a director.
