Maksim Chmerkovskiy on judging 'DWTS' and more news to note

The judged shall become the judge.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy makes his debut Monday night as a judge on "Dancing with the Stars," where he formerly appeared as a contestant. The dancer tells People "I have to be the person that I thought they should have been at the times I disagreed with their remarks." Should be interesting to see if he brings the fire he brought to the dance floor to the judges' table. [People]

Kanye West talks design at Harvard

His debut album may have been title "The College Dropout," but Kanye West recently dropped in instead.

The rapper stopped by Harvard Graduate School of Design to share some words about everything from design to creativity. He spoke as part of the as part of the "DONDA Design Lecture" series and based on the video, students were pretty thrilled to have the superstar in their midst.

Lady Gaga and R. Kelly did what on 'SNL?'

Lady Gaga put in some overtime this weekend, serving as both host and musical guest on "Saturday Night Live."

Though Gaga has been combining music and shock value for years, she's now competing with Miley Cyrus for the most attention-grabbing performance, and she and R. Kelly gave it quite the go.
