'The Sound of Music': First look at NBC's live eventWith NBC's live "The Sound of Music" premiering in less than a month, the show's stars are hard at work. In our first look at the three-hour performance, which is based on the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein stage musical, star Carrie Underwood gives us a glimpse at just how well she'll fit the iconic role of Maria Von Trapp.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8SsHK6mEjg&w=450&h=315] Joining Underwood will be "True Blood" star Stephen Moyer, who's been cast as Captain Von Trapp. (We almost didn't recognize him in the trailer without his pallor and vamp teeth!) With last year's Oscars producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan executive-producing, the live event is scheduled to bow on December 5. What do you think - does this trailer hint at good things to come? |
