Eminem's childhood home damaged in fire

Eminem's childhood home, which is featured on the cover of the rapper's latest album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," has been damaged in a fire.

According to multiple reports, firefighters arrived at the two-story Detroit property on Thursday evening to put out a blaze.

The vacant bungalow, which sits on Dresden Street not far from 8 Mile Rd., reportedly sustained damage to its second floor. Firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading to the rest of the home.

Officials are unclear as to how the fire began around 6:20 p.m. Thursday. The most recent owner of the 747-square foot home is the Michigan Land Bank.

Another home decaying in Detroit is not news. Once a city of one and a half million that dominated automobile innovation and technology, the liberals got their hands on it and the ghetto of six hundred thousand Obama-voting parasites is all that remains. Don't lament the fate of your childhood home, Eminem. This is the inevitable consequence of the leader's you voted for.

    • What?

No, NAFTA happened to Detroit. It was a major manufacturing city. Plants started shipping jobs out of the country, due to corporate greed. Bet those companies were run by conservatives. When the jobs left, Detroit started to crumble. Nice job on trying to blame liberals for it's demise. Have you ever been there? Empty and crumbling manufacturing plants everywhere. Again, nice try.

Don't bother laying the truth on conservatards like Prophet. They are more comfortable wallowing in their little right wing lies, the filthy pigs that they all are.

wait I am pretty sure the automobile industry tanked due to the BUSH REPUBLIC. Not Obama. A man cant be held accountable for a mess he was given, not helped to create. Do you think Obama took down the american auto industry in 3 months? He was elected in November and bailed out these money grubbing republicans in January. Perhaps you need a history lesson!

Well, J blames Bush. What? blames NAFTA, which was signed by Clinton. Typical lib unaccountability and confusion. Detroit was once one of the world's great cities. It was the 4th largest metropolis in America, jobs were plentiful because of the auto industry, and Motown even kept it on the cutting edge musically. Unfortunately, from 1962 until the present day, the mayor of Detroit has been a Democrat. The result? Detroit's population has dropped from 1.8 million to just over 700,000, the unemployment rate is over 50% if you count the people who've given up on finding jobs, property values have dropped so much you can buy homes in the crime-ridden city for $500, and Detroit has gone bankrupt. Denial is the most powerful self defense mechanism.

This is how the NAFTA was voted into law. Yes, under a Democratic President, but the vast majority of the right voted for it. It looks like your party wanted it more than the Dems. Better check you facts before you spout off.

Democratic 102 voted yes 156 voted against
Republican 132 voted yes 43 voted against
      Independent 1 voted against
TOTALS 234 voted yes 200 voted against

Again, people left Detroit, because jobs were being shipped out of the country. No jobs, people leave. If President Obama would not have saved the car industry, Michigan would not be recovering the way it has. The car industry not only affects Detroit, but all cities in Michigan. There is a lot of companies that do car industry jobs. Take the car industry away, Michigan starts to fail.

    • just sayin...

People left Detroit because it is a cold, smelly nasty place where no one is safe at night, especually white people. Take away the people who produce and pay taxes, and all you have left is a ghetto.

    • @just saying

Have you even been there before? I'll bet no. That was quite a generalization you just threw out. Cold and smelly? White people were afraid? No, you are wrong. Again, jobs left, so people left the city looking for work. If people leave the city looking for work, the tax base suffers. Plain and simple. It has nothing to do with black people or white people. It was all do to jobs.

When I'm not busy trolling the Marquee Blog making offensive comments to liberals, and displaying an anti-gay bias through bullying of another blogger, I like to kick back with a nice bottle of wine and some smooth jazz while I finger my clam to internet photos of Rachel Maddow and Brandi Carlile.
