'DWTS' rocked by shocking eliminationThe first rule of "Dancing with the Stars" is to always expect the expected. The second rule is that fan votes do matter when it comes to determining a contestant's fate, and Christina Milian learned that the hard way Monday night.
Less than two hours after earning the first "10" of the season thanks to a dazzling cha-cha, Milian became the fourth celebrity booted from the ABC series. The singer/TV personality was an early favorite to go far this season, and her work on the dance floor seemed to back that up. By the time Monday's "Most Memorable Year" dances came to an end, Milian was tied with Corbin Bleu for top-scoring dance of the night, with both earning 28s for their routines. But Milian may have seen her brand hurt last week by pro partner Mark Ballas, whose choreography on a foxtrot was criticized by guest judge and former "Dancing" regular Julianne Hough. The "Footloose" actress seemed to suggest that Ballas' choreography failed to allow Milian to "shine" on the dance floor. Did viewers aim to punish Ballas by not voting for Milian? Watch the video above to hear from Christina Milian on her elimination, as well as from Elizabeth Berkley on her jive that paid tribute to one of her most memorable moments from "Saved by the Bell." We know you're feeling excited about that one. So what do you think - was Milian's exit a shocker for you? |

It's all fixed! It's how TV works.
Why is every time someone leaves DWTS it is considered "shocking" ? Someone has to leave and whoever has fewer fans is the one kicked off. That isn't shocking. Dancing ability has very little to do with it. You can be a bad dancer and stay on if you have enough fans.
We have GOT to STOP throwing around the word "Stars"...*smh*...
the star is never ever leaving the scene.
She exposed everything....none of us could care less but SHE keeps talking about it therefore we find her useless....expect poundings from us.
i'll be too busy with that .....cnn is a buh bye-technically cnn is quite the bore but was useful.
who?
Not Christina Milian? What will the world do now Batman?
It's hard to say who is the best contestent among the stars , but my guess is Derek's partner has a chance to go the finale ./.
Who? DWTS audience didn't know who she was so – no votes
I thought the new voting system where both previous week and current week judges scores are counted would prevent, or make much more unlikely, shockers like this to happen again. But I guess not.
I don't think Christina should have been voted off because she is a good dancer. But, this is a popularity contest and she just did not have the fan base to continue. I know I didn't vote for her because I am partial to Corbin & Elizabeth and Bill Engvall is entertaning to watch but I think he will be the next one to get the boot.
I hope snooki wins 🙂
Aside from the shock of this elimination everyone looked great! From the costumes to the shoes they were real dancers.

I was thrilled to have Leah Remini remain! Sorry about Miliam getting booted off, but I like it when a NON-DANCER gets better and better..I wanted to see Leah continue! Good choice folks!
This was disgusting....a talenteled dancer goes and a "want ta be a lady" stays....so totally a put up job!!!!!!Let the Cow go and Mooooo somewhere else...like in a field!
Milian's ouster shows its not about the dancing ability but rather the popularity of the celeb. I'm tired of seeing the good ones go because of an anti-dancing campaign or popularity only. I also think Julianne's comments about Mark Ballas were out of line and that hurt Milian's chances.
I agree with that completely. However as a person who has watched the show for years, I agree with Juianne that Mark does have the tendency to make himself shine over his partners. I don't believe she should have called him out on it on tv, but I can't said her point was not valid. Mark can be incredibly self indulgent at times.
Sasha has it right. Mark has ALWAYS put himself in the spot light and fans are getting tired of it. His partners never will get the trophy until he realizes the show is NOT about him. He needs to talk a lesson from Tony!
Mark is not the only one – Derrick too should be called out not only for all the flash on him (though he can teach his partners well), but not even following the dance style you are assigned and STILL getting his scores – don't know WHY the judges love him so much!
They should rename this show Dancing With The Cows. Then Bristol Palin can be on every week.
Why not "Dancing with The Twits"? Then you could go out every Monday night and embarass yourself like you do here.
How about "Dancing With Len"? They can film it in your trailer park.
Who really gives a crap?
Who watches this garbage anyways? Good for them, they can dance!
