  • When choosing a name for their newborn son, Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez decided on old-school. The first half of the baby's name, Maceo, was popular in 9th through 14th centuries. The second half of the new arrival's moniker, Robert, is in homage to Olivier's dad. [TMZ]

'Fifty Shades' movie adds a mother

Now that the initial furor over "Fifty Shades of Grey's" casting has died down, the movie is adding to its ranks.

Jennifer Ehle, who you last saw in "Zero Dark Thirty," has been tapped to join "Fifty Shades" as the mother of Anastasia Steele, according to Deadline.

The role of Anastasia, the naive college student who finds herself in a steamy relationship with a good-looking billionaire by the name of Christian Grey, has controversially already been handed to Dakota Johnson. Anastasia's mother, Carla, is described as flighty, flirtatious and on her fourth marriage.

Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, "Fifty Shades of Grey" will also star "Sons of Anarchy" actor Charlie Hunnam as the charismatic Grey. The movie's set to debut on August 1, 2014.

When we last checked in on Alice Guy-Blache, the pioneering female director was the subject of a Kickstarter campaign aimed at funding a film about her life.

The campaign was successful, and the work continues – with some twists, says director and producer Pamela Green.
