New baby for Shonda Rhimes, and more news to note

Today's news you might've missed:

  • "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" creator Shonda Rhimes is going to have a supremely busy fall. In addition to her two ABC shows returning for new seasons, Rhimes also welcomed a third child on Wednesday. "No. 3 is here and she's perfect!" the proud mom tweeted. "Babies are good. Life is good." • NBC is digging into its archives for a new miniseries. The network is planning to portray the life of legend Johnny Carson with a TV event that would examine Carson's upbringing and historic tenure on "The Tonight Show." Any casting suggestions? [EW]
  • This is why we adore Sara Bareilles: Instead of taking the bait when asked her thoughts on Katy Perry's single "Roar" - which, in case you haven't heard, sounds awfully similar to Bareilles' "Brave" - she shrugged it off as a win. "I was stoked," the singer recently said. "I was like, 'You guys want to go get (mad) about something and buy my music, that's great." [E!]
  • We're not into gambling, but you might be. Want to know who's a safe bet on Emmys night? Check out these odds: [LAT]
  • This whole Miley thing? Yeah. It's now a movement. We'll let MTV explain:

Although the original features Rih singing with Mikky Ekko, Leto handles the whole thing on his own. How do you think he did?
