Julianne Moore joins 'Hunger Games' franchise"The Girl on Fire" is getting a flame-haired co-star: Julianne Moore has joined the cast of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay," and will appear in both installments of the two-part conclusion. The Lionsgate film tweeted the casting announcement on Friday, revealing that Moore will play President Alma Coin:
In the best-selling books by Suzanne Collins, Alma Coin leads the rebellion against the Capitol and villainous President Snow (played in the films by Donald Sutherland). Moore, 52, has been the subject of casting rumors for months, but her part was until now unconfirmed. The "Hunger Games" franchise has been steadily staffing its cast as it prepares to roll out the final films in the series following this November's "Catching Fire." "Game of Thrones" actress Natalie Dormer has been cast as Cressida, Stef Dawson as Annie Cresta and Diana Ross' son Evan Ross will portray Messalla. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will land November 22, followed by "Mockingjay - Part I" on November 21, 2014, and "Mockingjay - Part 2" on November 20, 2015. |

The 1st Hunger Games, had so many chubby actors. Guess Julianne will have to start the ol Milkshake gorge soon. Thought Hunger Games was about starving people? You know, thin, anorexic.
"Chubby"? I don't think so. "Starving," yes, but there were plenty of forested areas to glean, and even if one is reduced to living off tree bark, it can be made edible. What with all the tree climbing and running to find a hiding place from the repressive elements, the otherwise healthy youth would obtain adequate calories for survival through food theft, if need be, if this was based on a true story. Infants and the elderly are the most vulnerable, in that scenario. And I do not recall "chubby" actors in The Hunger Games, anyway.

Oct 13 is the first episode of The Walking Dead and I think the Season Premier of Haven may be in tonight. It's gonna be Scaaary Good.
