Beyonce: No performance in KazakhstanA rep for Beyonce has set the record straight regarding reports she performed this past weekend for a relative of Kazakhstan’s president. According to The New York Times rapper Kanye West gave a performance as part of the wedding celebration of the grandson of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. British publication "The Independent" reported that "Human Rights Watch has singled out Kazakhstan for its 'serious and deteriorating human rights situation.'" West has not spoken publicly about the alleged performance. Katie Couric is engagedStart spreading the news: Katie Couric is totally off the market. The journalist got engaged over the weekend to her boyfriend of two years, John Molner, her rep confirmed. People reported the financier romantically proposed to Couric on the beach at sunset in East Hampton, New York, presenting her with a diamond ring. The host of "Katie," is said to have "ecstatically" accepted. Couric lost her husband, Jay Monahan, in 1998 after he died of colon cancer. Her show returns on September 9.
