JAY Z's hyphen looking for workYou know it's hard out here for a hyphen. Once it became widely known that the artist formerly known as "Jay-Z" had dropped the hyphen and gone to ALL CAPS, that meant said hyphen was no longer being employed. So what's a poor hyphen to do? Turn to Craigslist, of course. The Drum reports that an ad has popped up, allegedly from the now available hyphen. "Hardworking SBL (Straight Black Line) seeks immediate, full or part-time employment having been recently laid off by my previous employer after 19 years of devoted service," the ad reads. The hyphen goes on to explain that it is "experienced and proficient in joining two separate words to create a compound word" and "preventing confusion or awkward combination of letters." Can you help a hyphen out? |
