Shirley Jones' new book reveals sexy detailsTo the world she will probably always be "Mrs. Partridge," but Shirley Jones new book paints a very different portrait of the actress. "Shirley Jones: A Memoir" details her tumultuous relationship with actor Jack Cassidy which included affairs for both of them, her relationship with stepson and co-star David Cassidy and her early days in Hollywood.
Fans of the squeaky clean matriarch of "The Partridge Family" will probably be surprised by several of the details – including a menage a trios between her, husband Jack Cassidy and a young female dancer. "I am nowhere near as breezy and uncomplicated as Mrs. Partridge," Jones writes. "And I'm not a spoiled Hollywood movie star or a jaded TV icon, either." Jones, who won the Academy Award for best supporting actress in 1960 for her role in "Elmer Gantry," documents everything from her early stage career to her encounters with movie stars like Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. The book goes on sale today. |

Shirley starred as Marian the librarian opposite Robert Preston as Harold Hill in Meredith Willson's "The Music Man." One of the greatest musicals of all time! Even appeals to my generation...and so does Shirley, I might add...
I would pork that old broad something fierce.
I heard years ago that she spent time on directors' couches. Anything in the book about that?
A lot of actresses (and actors) of her generation rode the casting couch in order to further their careers. It was expected of them.
That's a right jaunty hat Ms. Jones is sporting there, eh?
Back in those days people just didnt do those thing and talk about it like it was good hot candy and it made her happy.
Come on get happy!
Kind of sounds like Shirley Jones got happy quite a bit! lol...
There was happiness all around – google pics of her: She was a blazing hot goddess of love. Shoot, she still looks good. A three way with her and another dancer? That's a memory for a lifetime.
Shirley, you jest?
No I don't......and stop calling me Surely!
