Cory Monteith in his own wordsBy most accounts, Cory Monteith was as beloved in real life as his character in "Glee" was on screen. But the actor made it clear in an interview last year with Parade magazine that he was not Finn Hudson, and revealed that he had a dark past which included a struggle with substance abuse.

Remembering Cory Monteith as Finn on 'Glee'There was nothing not to love about Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson on "Glee." With his naiveté and handsome face, Finn was the jock who stole our hearts as if - like the character - we were still in high school. We watched him grapple with his feelings over his friendship with a gay character who had a crush on him. We fell in love with his romance with Rachel Berry (in real life, the actress who portrayed Berry, Lea Michele, dated Monteith) and wondered about the future of his character after Finn graduated.
