Rachel Bilson's not a fan of Coppola's 'Bling Ring'Critics have called Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" "enjoyable" if not "empty," but Rachel Bilson is just going with "weird." The "Hart of Dixie" actress was one of the targets of the real-life "Bling Ring," a group of five teenagers who burglarized celebrity homes in 2008 and 2009. Coppola's film, which stars former "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson, presents a fictionalized account of the teens' crime spree, an exercise in creativity that Bilson doesn't understand.
"I thought it was weird to glorify something that was so upsetting for a lot of people," she told Cosmopolitan UK. "It’s important to detach from material things, but the special, personal things I lost are hard to forget.” An engagement ring belonging to Bilson's mother was reportedly one of the stolen items, an undoubtedly tough loss for someone who readily admits her sentimentality when it comes to love and family. Now 31, the actress is looking forward to starting a family of her own one day. “My parents’ divorce [when I was nine] didn’t make me cynical about love and marriage," she said. "I’ve always been a big romantic and I look forward to all those things. I’ve been in a relationship for six years [with actor Hayden Christensen] and I’m happy ... To have a partner is one of the greatest things. I’ve always been a fan of love! I love any movie or book or anything to do with love because I’m a romantic… I’m an emotional person; I go with my heart before my head every time!” |

she is sooooooooo pretty
I felt the same way when I first heard that this movie was in the works. It brings up similar feelings about a Lifetime movie that was made some years ago and based on The Fab Five. It's basically glorifying bad behavior with no cosideration given to the victims.

will deal with all the insults....
Very pretty girl...all the best.
