OWN to show new episodes of canceled soapsTime to rejoice soap fans. The Oprah Winfrey Network has announced the acquisition of new episodes of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" for a 10 week run.
Both shows returned online in April, and the new deal with OWN will bring both soaps to Winfrey's network Monday through Thursday beginning July 15. "These shows have proven to be very popular with a significant, loyal fan base, not to mention Oprah herself is a big fan,” said Erik Logan, president of OWN, in a statement. “Many of our viewers across numerous platforms have expressed their passion for the soaps, so we are especially excited to air this limited engagement on OWN.” Fans of "All My Children" will be dropped back into the action following the cliffhanger finale when a shot rang out in a room full of some of Pine Valley's most prominent citizens. On "One Life to Live," the series picks up with a nightclub opening in Llanview, Pennsylvania.
