Kristen Stewart's new movie set in GuantanamoKristen Stewart has lined up two new indie projects, one of which will see the actress suit up as a soldier. According to Deadline, the 23-year-old former "Twilight" star is set to portray a young woman who joins the military as an exit strategy from her small town, but she gets sent to fulfill her duty at Guantanamo Bay rather than Iraq, where she thought she was headed.
Stewart's soldier is greeted with animosity from those under her surveillance, but she finds herself befriending a young man who'd been imprisoned there for eight years. The political drama, "Camp X-Ray," was written by Peter Sattler, who's also directing the feature. Production on the project is expected to begin this summer, along with another film Stewart's starring in called "Sils Maria." The actress will head to Europe to film that drama, which also features Juliette Binoche and Chloë Grace Moretz. The story follows an aging actress who's obsessed with a younger starlet (Moretz) occupying a role the older actress once starred in on her rise to the top. The central theme explores middle age and the moment at which one reflects on what one's accomplished in life. Stewart will play Binoche's assistant in the Olivier Assayas-directed film.

It is to bad that Kristen & Rob can't play Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham's biography. Kristen is getting treated just like Lindsey used to get treated over Stevie, he came out ok. But boy those puritans are really vicious...the inquisitors have come to town!

Who gives this girl roles? She cannot act for heavens sake. I cannot believe they are going along with her for the Snow White movie. The only reason I watched it was for Charlie Theron. This idiot cannot act.
Its all about looks.... which for her, are slowly dwindling.
What she should be doing this summer is taking some acting lessons...She is just terrible..
She must have a great agent, because she is a terrible actress.
Maybe yes and maybe no....but she does know how to work that casting couch.

Tahar Rahim, a French actor, of Algerian descent, would be great in this. I think a little basic training would be in order for Miss Stewart to get the right bearing and tone for a military guard. I knew someone years ago who was in the military police. I guess a Gitmo guard would be in that unit.

I can't wait to see Kristen in both of the roles she's filming this summer. She's an amazing actress and beautiful too... Too bad for all of the hate messages on this board, really makes me sad, and says a lot about those posting them. She's respected in the industry and will do well regardless of the unfortunate hate being spewed at her.

Cool. Guantanamo is a perfect environment for such an emotionless actress.
I can't think of a better place for them to accidentally misplace her. Her acting is almost criminal, might be a good place to lock her up and throw away that key. Honestly, could you see her in the military? What a freakin' stretch, to say the least!
It's true that it will be a stretch to make her look believably military! She has not got the right body language for a diciplined soldier type so that will be interesting. They usually just cast her in the same role for every film – deep in thought, sensitive, lip biting, and pretentious.
Remember all those girls writing letters to the Boston bomber?
That's the kind of girl she plays.
I think this will be a great movie and KS is so perfect for the part! Cant wait to see it. The people who spew hate are just seriously jealous. Ignore them.
