  • Kris Kross' Chris Kelly was laid to rest in Atlanta today. His Kris Kross partner, Chris Smith, teared up during the eulogy, calling Kelly "a true friend." [MTV]
  • Disney has found its Prince Charming on "Game of Thrones." Richard Madden (a.k.a. Robb Stark) will portray the gentleman who falls for Cinderella ("Downton Abbey's" Lily James) in Kenneth Branagh's live-action adaptation. [EW]
  • Leslie Knope prevails on NBC! The network has picked up "Parks and Recreation" for a sixth season. [TVBytheNumbers]
  • Snoop Lion claims he was a pimp in the literal sense - the rapper's said that he'd "put an organization together" that catered primarily to athletes. [RS]
  • This is the sanest suggestion we've seen regarding "American Idol's" continued ratings slide: instead of figuring out which judges to replace and which to keep, just fire them all. [Us Weekly]

Bindi-less Selena Gomez pleases critics

For her new music video, Selena Gomez chose to be more culturally sensitive than she was during her recent MTV Movie Awards performance.

The 20-year-old singer drew criticism after she sang her new single "Come & Get It" at the April ceremony because she wore a bindi on her forehead.

The President of the Universal Society of Hinduism, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, called Gomez out for her use of the spiritual symbol, saying in a statement that "as a renowned performer, she should get acquainted with the basics of world religions."

Fox series orders: What you need to know

That's not spring in the air, but fall series ordering season.

Fox has gotten the ball rolling on a new slate of programming, picking up five comedy pilots and four dramas. On the comedy side, TV critics have noted how male-dominated the concepts are, especially in light of Fox's recent female-centric programs like "The Mindy Project," "New Girl" and the now canceled "Ben and Kate."

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis make Billboard history

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have taken "Thrift Shop" all the way to the bank.

The duo have made history on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, as their first two singles, the aforementioned "Shop" and the more recent "Can't Hold Us" with Ray Dalton, have both shot to No. 1.

That makes Macklemore and Lewis the first duo in Billboard's history to see their first two singles climb to the top of the chart.
