What were Honey Boo Boo's parents up to this weekend?The parents of Alana Thompson, a.k.a. TLC reality star Honey Boo Boo Child, may or may not have gotten married this weekend. TMZ and Deadline Hollywood caught wind of an invite that encouraged attendees to put on their finest "redneck attire" and witness the event, although they weren't allowed to bring cameras.
According to People magazine, Honey Boo Boo's Mama June (June Shannon) and dad Sugar Bear indeed hosted a ceremony in their Georgia backyard on Sunday, where they exchanged vows and enjoyed cake before partaking in a family barbecue. But does this mean that they're married? June didn't say, instead telling the magazine that it was important to her that all of her daughters were included. "The day was very special mostly because my girls were able to take part in it," the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" matriarch said. "I felt like it was important for them to see this moment and celebrate my love for Sugar Bear." Perhaps fans will get a peek at the ceremony when "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" returns to TLC July 17. June's sister took care of baking the cake, with most of the ceremony's budget going toward the barbecue, June said. "We stayed true to our roots and made the focus on the family and my commitment to Sugar Bear."
