Living with mom? Bradley Cooper can relateThere's been much speculation about which women are coming in and out of Bradley Cooper's life, but there's one special lady who's taken up residence with the Oscar nominee: his mom. As a man who's rumored to have a pretty active dating life, that sounds like it could be a problem. But as Cooper, 38, tells the May issue of Details magazine, it really isn't that bad.
"The best way I can answer that is to say we're surviving. Both of us. Let's face it: It's probably not easy for her, by the way, to be living with her son. It's life," the "Hangover III" actor said. "And right now, two years after my father's death, this is where we are. My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other." Don't misunderstand - "it's not without complications," he continued. "It's not like I live in a compound and she's in the guesthouse. No. She's in the next room. But here's the thing: She's a cool chick. We can hang, and she can roll with the punches. If that wasn't the case, there's no way." Rolling with the punches just might involve grandkids soon, as Cooper added that he does want to start a family of his own one day. "I really hope I have that experience in my life," he told Details. "I saw how much joy fatherhood gave my own dad. So I hope it’s part of my journey. You go through stages in your life, and fatherhood seems like a natural stage." His next movie, "The Hangover Part III," opens May 24. |

you people are retarded . he is helping his mother through a tough time and them you get a bunch of idiots calling him a mommys boy. and if you wouldn't do the same thing for your mother then you are a piece of dog poop and you need to do the world a favor and just depart your self from this world. way to be a good man, son and actor brad its good to know some people still have family values. props to you sir.
huh huhh huhhh huh huh your name is BJ
He must need a live-in babysitter for his girlfriend. Really Brad, there are no women your age worth dating?
Hang on. Ill join ya for that poop. Got something to read?
When he's done living w mommy and mature enough to fly the coop, then he can reside at my place anytime. I'll play mommy for him....lol
Two words: Bates Motel
I feel an enormous poop building up. Time to take a shower.
That is really nice guy and one of my fav actors. He was hilarious in that wedding crashes movie.
There's nothing wrong w/helping a parent out. It's not forever & you'll have no regrets or guilt. Anyone out there taking care of a parent, I pat you on the back. 🙂
Good Actor! Good Son! Enough said!
thanks
Have a good afternoon.
right brad?–does not matter-no worries
truth
Brad needs too re-think his issues with his mother-
i want too be proud of my mother...not be embarrassed by her...
Careful of bulls.
Brad should never listen his mother...he needs too listen to himself
doesn't matter business as usual – don't listen too your mother she's NOT pushing you in the right direction...
doesn't matter business as usual - don't listen too your mother she's pushing you in the right direction...
I will care for brad always doesn't matter...
its ok...no worries
Brad is a good guy but doesn't always think–its ok-business as usual Brad
Anybody can do what they do....we are the experts...get lost
Brad is hot
If you're scared of mom, you've got issues.
i just saw your father the other day
Good for you Bradley! My dad passed almost 3 years ago and my mom had a hard time so I moved in with her as well. Unless you've lost a parent it's hard to understand. She passed a couple of months ago and I don't regret one second of the time I spent with her.
WELL SAID!
Total PR stunt. Sure he's a nice family looking to settle down. He's got a 20 year old model girlfriend who dropped out of school at 16 (and looks like a child) and he's 38 years old. This is just all PR to give him a nice boy image with a couple movies coming out. He did and said the same things during his oscars campaign. Hate to break it to people but its all just an image.
BYE
There is nothing wrong with him helping his mom. She was there when he grew up into who he is today. My mom has to live with me because of her health and mental illness. She was not noticeably like this as I was growing up plus my nephew lives with me because his mother my sister is mentally ill. Take care of family if you have it, sometimes it's all we have.
i'm not forced too do anything...when i want "it" we go too his house or a hotel...simple...silly
I was in the AF for 6 years, have issues from my service and am forced to live with my parents. So f^&* all you b$%^&*, my Mother has done more to help me than anyone, my umbilical cord has been cut, I absolutely loathe staying there. Then you get this kind of c#$% from women. All I can say is have fun with the guy from the bar that was too much of a b!@#$ to go to boot camp.
I feel "packaged".
Ok, how many of you girls fawning over this guy have a Y chromosome? I'm not judging. I'm just curious. I don't think I've ever seen this many posts on a CNN message board by women. No matter what the topic, it almost always deteriorates into a neocon vs. liberal cat-fight (sorry, couldn't resist). I think most guys saw this article and ran in the other direction.
Don't wait to long to have those kids. You will be too old to keep up with them, not kidding.
He doent get enough women as it is? Every woman who hears this thinks "Awww how nice"
Yea, leave some for the rest of us buddy.
If you think women see having his mother in the house as a good thing, you don't know women. At all.
(And Mommy is just one negative on a huge pile of screaming "no"; his use of "journey," his saying his mommy is a "cool chick" and that "we can hang.")
@Fiona I am 59 and my son is 31. I hang out with my kid quite frequently. I'm a riot to be around. All his friends love me, and invite me to their parties a lot, too. To suggest their is something weird about him liking his mother as a friend, is just ridiculous. And I can tell you this, if something happened to me, my kid would be right there to take care of me, too. Oh, and I hear this coming, no, he's definitely not a girly boy, either. He has quite a happy dating life, and the girls he dates, like me, too. Where did you get such childish ideas?
b!tch. No wonder she is single, can't keep a man or find a good one, and lonely. Hag.

Cute
I like him in that movie about those guys who were doing stuff.
brad seems like a wonderful man - hopefully he will find the right wife.
best propaganda in town...
Free marketing and propaganda for his upcoming movie.
The more I read about BC the better I like him. To take his Mom in after his Father's death, shows what a loving son he is. Kudos to him.
and well loved in hollywood...all the best too him
thosse lips are amazing
I'm sure he figured it out
Eeeeeew, momma's boy! Imagine going home w/him after a date ... he's gonna tell his mommy everything! She's in the next room. Sickoooo alert!
I agree with you. I wouldn't want to meet guys who have not cut their umbilical cord from their mothers yet!
There is a difference here. He's not living off his Mom, she's living with him. I don't know the story of his Dad's death, but his Mom must have been devastated. I find it admirable that he was there for her. Besides that, don't you think the guy could spring for a really fancy hotel, if he wanted to hook up with gal? After all, the guy is worth millions. I'm sure where he is living isn't a two room shack, either.
Great actor in hollywood–he needs too do more–be recognized for who HE is....
don't ever falll into manipulation Brad...your the hottest actor in history
the man has too fly...he has his own bucks...
oh yea
you betcha
I'd make out with cooper...his lips are hot
