While you were working ...

Today's news you might've missed:

  • Tina Fey and Jason Bateman are going to co-star in an adaptation of Jonathan Tropper's "This Is Where I Leave You." We love that Fey is wasting no time in lining up new movies, but we're also eagerly awaiting her return to TV. We need a dose of Tina on a weekly basis, thank you.  [THR]
  • If it's Marg Helgenberger who does it for you, then you'll want to make note of her new CBS pilot, "Intelligence." [EW]
  • "Downton Abbey" is bleeding cast members these days. Yet another actor - nope, we're not saying who, in case someone's sensitive about spoilers - has departed ahead of season four. [VF]
  • If you were outraged and distressed about Tori Spelling maybe getting a divorce after reading a magazine headline, calm down. Spelling's confirmed that she and Dean McDermott aren't breaking up. [ToriSpelling.com]
  • Someone paid almost $3,500 for a pair of dance pants Jennifer Lawrence wore in "Silver Linings Playbook" in a recent auction. Considering how in demand the actress is right now, though, we're kind of surprised the top bid wasn't higher. [CinemaBlend]
  • We're not sure Diddy's tales of childhood bed-wetting are going to be an effective marketing strategy for his new water with Mark Wahlberg. (Yeah, you read that correctly. They're selling water ... as in, the kind of stuff that comes out of your tap, except theirs is supposed to have a higher pH level.) [MTV]

Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar-winning matchmaker

Oh, to be a friend of Jennifer Lawrence.

You'd get to hear firsthand about that time Jack Nicholson sorta/kinda hit on her, and you'd get to hang out in Hawaii and drink wine and do ... other stuff.

And if you're Bradley Cooper, it seems, you also get a free matchmaking service.

'Community' stars on what to expect next

"Community's" German joke-fest on Thursday included the introduction of new professor Malcolm McDowell (plus the return of the Changnesia-stricken Chang), which added some new plot threads to what has become a divisive season between fans and critics.

Alison Brie and Danny Pudi took some time to speak to press recently, and they immediately addressed the elephant in the room: the departure of Dan Harmon, which is still a point of contention among the "Community" faithful.
