Diane Lane, Josh Brolin call it quitsDiane Lane and Josh Brolin are splitting up after eight years of marriage, reps for Brolin tell CNN. The reps didn't provide any other details other than to confirm that “Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage.”
The actor pair tied the knot in August 2004, and it was the second marriage for both. "Gangster Squad" star Brolin, 45, has two children from his previous marriage to actress Deborah Adair: Trevor, 25, and Eden, 19. "Man of Steel's" Lane, 48, has a daughter, 19-year-old Eleanor, from her prior marriage to actor Christopher Lambert. According to Us Weekly, the couple have been broken up for a couple of months. An inside source tells the magazine that their breakup was a mutual decision. "It is very amicable," the source said. "It's not ugly, it's just over."

and that's huge problem in a marriage....
josh has a better personality and draw more fans –diane is a fuddy duddy bore...josh needs to grow..diane is controlling and does not let josh grow so he had to bid farewell too her.

This was indeed long overdue. Josh has been in just a bit too much trouble for Diane to put up with, no doubt. Radiance, class and integrity just pour out from her. He, on the otherhand, seems to be a trouble maker – so why should she jeopardize her status with a loser?
Not a good combination, which is what I've been thinking about them for several years now.
I was at a charity fundraiser last year where she was the honoree. She was sweet, still so pretty, and passionate about the cause (Oceana). JB was there, too, as an honoree along with a special boy who had raised money for the cause. During his time to speak he used the f word, when he knew the boy was right there being honored as well. Ugh.
i also have become more curious of josh–i don't trust him and he appears not too have changed.

comes from a very nice family, good upbringing his dad is James Brolin so he has some idea of the hollywood scene.
we support josh in this particular situation. the fans love josh and always will. we support his career and support him as an actor in hollywood.......i wish josh only great things in his future projects.

I lost a lot of respect for him both as an actor and a man when he assaulted her a few years back. She forgave him and they moved on but I never forgive domestic violence....as Oprah rightly said..."if he hits you once...he WILL hit you again." I wish them both the best of luck. She's one of my favorite actresses.

Diane Lane is so beautiful, so talented, so classy, and so under utilized. Her "Unfaithful" role was definitely Oscar worthy and I want to see more roles of that caliber for her. I wish her the best.

Diane Lane is a brilliant and talented actor. I have observed that since her marriage to Mr. Brolin, she hasn't played parts that showcase her talent like her role in "Unfaithful". He appears to have significant alcohol issues and she needs to leave him, stay gone, and get another Oscar worthy part and Diane Lane worthy man.
Best couple and the marriage is 100% because of they make it work. (^)
I'm amazed that it lasted eight years. He is pretty hot headed and he's gotten into several fights in the past couple of years. I'm hoping that she will do a sequel to Under the Tuscan Sun.
