Stars reflect on McCready's deathAs Mindy McCready's fans are turning up her greatest hits in light of her apparent suicide, her peers in the industry are honoring her memory on Twitter. Two "American Idol" alums, Carrie Underwood and Clay Aiken, have recalled the inspiration McCready gave them through her music.
"I grew up listening to Mindy McCready...so sad for her family tonight," Underwood tweeted. "Many prayers are going out to them..." "I listened admiringly to Mindy McCready growing up. May she finally be at peace and lend her beautiful voice to heaven's LeAnn Rimes, who tweeted that she knew McCready well, joined the chorus of mourners who had McCready's two young sons in mind. "My heart goes out to Mindy McCready's family," Rimes said. "It's a horribl[e] tragedy. May peace be with her son[s]." Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum echoed those sentiments with her tweet: "My heart is breaking hearing of the loss of Mindy McCready. Pray for her 2 precious little boys...may God's peace & protection be on them!" "Just heard about Mindy McCready. My thoughts and prayers are with her 2 boys and her family," country star Jason Aldean posted to his Twitter account Sunday night. "Really really sad to learn the news about Mindy McCready. I will pray for her children and I hope that people are gentle with her memory," added Chely Wright. For Wynonna Judd, McCready's death hit close to home. In a series of tweets, Judd explained that she performed a song for McCready on Sunday night "with such a heavy heart." "Oh my! Mindy. Dear sweet girl. This is so sad. It just breaks my heart what addiction continues to take from this life," Judd tweeted, later adding that she will "always be reminded of how what happened to Mindy could have easily happened to me. I thank ALL [m]y family, friends & fans, for continuing to affirm me & support me in this life. It is precious, & becoming more so each & every day we [h]ave here in Earth. Tell someone you love them." |

@@@ "who cares what she looks like??? Why do people keep commenting on her appearance?? A girl is dead, for goodness sakes!! It's so sad and tragic."
Is that Mindy in the photo? If so, sad that we lost such a hot babe – can never have too many hot babes in the world!
Go crawl back under your rock.
I hope she looks like that in her adult video. Not so porky and gross.
Something is wrong with you
Jim – something is definitely wrong with you – I think you're missing (to quote Jennifer Anniston) a "sensitivity chip". How can you talk about that "movie" and wonder what she looks like it in after a beautiful but haunted soul felt she could no longer go on? – just think about that – the feeling that being dead is better than being alive. Obviously, you are not fully evolved yet!
It's weird how some people are saying she's in heaven right now when suicide is a mortal sin and you go to hades (if you believe in that).
Well, bubba. Some faiths believe that mental illness, i.e. illness precludes you from hell, such as many Protestant faiths. Once saved always saved. If you are in the throes of a serious illness of depression and make a rash decision such as suicide, which you would not do in with a sound mind, God forgives you, because He is a loving God.
A the girl in the photo Mindy Mcready years ago? If so, she was fairly nice looking, I think.
It really is a shame for the youngest child. . Now both parents are gone.
