Peter Dinklage signs on for 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

Peter Dinklage is joining the cast of “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

Director Bryan Singer announced the news via Twitter on Wednesday, writing, “Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to #XMEN #DaysofFuturePast Very very excited!"

There’s no word yet on which Marvel character the “Game of Thrones” star will play in the “First Class” sequel, which is expected to alternate between present day and a dystopian future.

As Entertainment Weekly notes, the 43-year-old actor might be playing Puck or MODOK. Both mutant characters are known for being strong yet short in stature.

Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have all signed on to reprise their respective roles in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” The film is expected to hit theaters in July 2014.

Loved him since I saw him in The Station Agent.
Idiots make fun of someone's name.
He's an actor. Judge him on his work as an actor, not his name or how funny you think it sounds. Besides I think the name Snipes sounds funny.

Remember: "there are no small roles, only small actors."

    Think about it.

Hopefully, he will play Puck. MODOK isn't a mutant. He's usually the leader of AIM, bad PhD. having thugs that fight Iron Man and Avengers associated heroes. Rarely does AIM take interest in mutant affairs.

I fell in love with him while watching the first movie I saw him in,"The Station Agent".
HE never disappoints no matter how bad the MOVIE may be... Just saw him as a drunk, angry Frenchman in "TipToes",a movie that went straight to video. It's a GREAT movie, about how a "Tall" man keeps his little people family hidden from his fiance. She meets them and then falls in love with the whole family and the LP community. Awesome movie!
Oh it's an R movie-not for kids! I didn't know LPs could party so hearty!

He is a great actor. Height does not matter when you are a great artist. All of you who dont recognize a true talent are... shall we say....height challenged in your mental capacities.

Once again the commentary proves how very many ways humans can be small, referencing nothing at all to do with mere feet and inches.
